What is a web ring?
A web ring is a circle of related web sites all linked together in an easy-to-follow pathway. Web rings are a great way for people with common interests to become part of an Internet community. The sites in a ring are independently managed by individuals, but a common navigation bar picked by the ring administrator lets users easily go from site to site.

How is OutdoorRings.com unique?
Well, first off, every webring on OutdoorRings.com is focused on something we all love ... the outdoors. Whether it's hunting or fishing, biking or hiking, or any other outdoor activity you can think of, it's got a place on OutdoorRings.com. We have developed a technology that gives the web ring fragment, the navigation at the bottom of every member's page, the ability to be dynamic. It can change quickly from a central location highlighting featured sites, contests that fit your interests, almost anything.

Should I link my web site to a web ring?

Signing up is free, so there's nothing to lose. To add your site to a web ring you'll need to add a simple line of JavaScript code (a ring fragment) to the main page on your web site. That code references common navigation for the entire web ring. The fragment allows the ring administrator to change ring navigation globally, in one simple process. Individual websites do not need to be modified. In return for becoming part of a web ring, your site will be linked into a huge group of people that share your interests!

To join a ring, simply click on your area of interest in the left navigation, choose the site you want to join, then click "join this ring" and fill out the simple form. If there isn't a ring that matches your interests, start your own!
